Swaying in the wind,
I pluck it up.
Smooth in my hands.
My finger tracing the stem finds something new
A leaf, one side silky
Protruding from the other, tiny, microscopic hairs.
The blossom is so beautiful.
Complimentary colors of yellow and purple combine
To make the image of life tangible,
Bringing with it
The fresh aroma of summer.
