I went on a new running route. On said route, you run parallel to the highway, and you feel quite awesome. Because you are. However, this was not the best part. On this new route, I found new ducks.
Today, I didn't run this new route. Because it's 5 miles. I was not in the mood to run five miles. So I went back to my old one. And the elusive ducks were back! I didn't even notice them until they started squawking their little hearts out at me. Truly, I believe they were not about to allow me to pass by without so much as a friendly, passing quack. It was so good to see them.
Also on the route today, I passed a young girl who gave me one of the most beautiful smiles I have ever seen. It was spontaneous, happy, and pure. That's what I love about young kids. There is no ulterior motive. They do what they do because they want to in the moment. So impulsive. So innocent. So good. There is a great part of me that wants me to return to some of that same mindset. This idea of innocent children reminded me of the series I'm reading. The Belgariad by Eddings. The whole point is that an evil magician guy stole an important orb. The only way he could do that, was by using an innocent young child. So. Evil people reading this blog. Stop. Stop reading my blog. Stop being evil.

I have such a hard time liking girls' names. My husband will need to give a lot of input there. The boys are set though.
Does the fact that I have picked some names I am fond of mean that I will get married in the near future. No. It means that I know what I want.
Also, when I was running there was this little boy who was just sitting in this contraption that looked like a lawn chair with wheels. He had some pedals so he could move around. I was astonished. And jealous. He turned and gave me this look like, "Where were you when they invented this? Ha. Ha. Sucker." And then he pedaled away. Got. To. Get. Me. One. Of. Those.
And one more thing that made me smile. There was an elderly man riding a moped down Main Street. He had this jolly grin on his face that just inspired joy. Best part. He was wearing one of those fluorescent safety vests. He totally pulled it off though.
Safety first. Fashion later.
Life is good. There is gratitude in my heart. And love in the air.

I just LOVE you!! :) You're so pleasant, so refreshing. :)Thanks for brightening my day! :)
