Better than The Great Gatsby

Trouble has no necessary connection with discouragement. Discouragement has a germ of its own, as different from trouble as arthritis is different from a stiff joint.

--F. Scott Fitzgerald

My little sister is a living embodiment of this wonderful quote. She has cerebral palsy. She's legally blind. She has a cochlear implant. She spends a lot of time in a wheelchair.
But none of these are her most noticeable characteristics. When you see my sister, the first thing you will notice is her ear to ear, effervescent smile. There is a sort of trouble in her life, but there is no discouragement.

There are some words that hold wisdom concerning this topic.

And all I have to add is my affirmation that, although it's difficult at times, trouble requires courage.
