Summer is going by so fast! Only one more year of high school and then... college. That is just not even okay.
So, rundown from July 2 onward. The highlights:
Big deal numero uno-HARRY POTTER. That movie was fabulous. The ending... blegh. But the rest of the film made up for that completely. I am so happy they made it into two movies. They finally did it right. That was the best movie of the series. Well done on going out with a bang.
That was also my cousin's birthday, his name's Oliva and I just found out his family is moving down to Orem and they're going to live pretty close to me so he's going to be attending MV. Another cousin I get to be a rival with. Great. Plus, I would assume he's going to be on their football team so there's another conflicting aspect of who to cheer for. And he'll never let me forget it if... anyway, love the kid. He's here right now, reading over my shoulder, now hitting my shoulder. Dude, that hurt, get out of here!
Also, I was able to be a crew member for SJCreations newest hit movie. It technically isn't finished, but it's a music video and it will blow your mind. I really didn't do anything, but it was a lot of fun! It was really interesting to see them in their movie-mode. It's serious business and I was actually surprised by the feeling of professionalism... mine and Kayla's filming experience was... not like that :)
Girls' camp was the bomb. I was the only 6th year up there. All alone so to speak. But I was considered to be a leader rather than a young woman at times and that was super awesome. I skipped out on flag to help around camp, missed roll call, but I didn't really mind. I turn into a psycho at camp and I have to think that the stake leaders are conflicted about me. I was a stake YCL with them last year and I think they loved my enthusiasm and that I could make all the girls laugh but I also think I gave them a heart attack every 5 minutes. Because, without realizing it, I apparently break 10 different rules every time I stand up. My bad. But I have fun :) I brought up shorts and flip flops and I think my leader fainted when she saw my open shoes! Even though it was late at night. I mean, I wouldn't go hiking in them, that's dumb, but when they call everyone down for late night devotional... you bet I'm going to wear my flip flops. Testimony meeting was great. And my favorite funny thing that happened was playing Toca with the Priesthood (My dad included! I love it when my dad comes to camp!) and Bishopric. Bishop Harmon was such a hit. Toca was a completely fantastic game.
After I arrived home from girls' camp I went down to my room, threw my suitcase on my bed and was then showered in all these little papers. The little papers were from Kayla, I assume. And then there were all these green post-its on my wall, from Stef. And then I was treated with some letters from Kayla, Stef, Stevo, and Jackson. I have to say, they made me smile. Even laugh. That really was so nice of them and it was such a great way to be welcomed home. Thanks guys :)
And now it's Sunday. And I feel like I've already accomplished so much. I went to Josh's farewell, good luck to him in Madagascar. He'll definitely be in my prayers. I love all the Steele family. I've also played the piano. And I successfully did not hit the car in front of me that totally boxed us in at the Steele house (mostly thanks to Parker!). And I saw Spencer who I haven't seen in so long :) And I've made a pound cake/lemon mousse with my daddy for dinner tonight with some of the extended fam. And, how could I forget, I've blogged. What a day. And it's only half over.
Be spiritual. The end.
Epic! :D Love you girl!
